Hyba | Web Design & Social Storyboards
Overview
Hyba by Quilted Northern is an advanced personal cleansing system that provides worry-free flushability and gives the user complete control of her level of moisture for a clean that is just right.
Role
My job was to take the already created assets and preliminary versions and complete the project as well as design storyboards for a social post.
The Problem
Wipes Damage Pipes
Many consumers prefer using wipes as their cleaning method unfortunately many of these wipes are not septic safe and can clog up the pipes causing major plumbing issues. Hyba is a solution to this issue, but it is an unknown type of product with a new brand name. A website needed to be created to help explain the system and Its benefits.

Users & Audience
The target audience for Hyba is under 50 consumer who is open to innovation and seeking a product that delivers a look that matches their personality and is willing to pay more for higher quality.
Simple Focused Landing page
The mandate was to keep the website simple. Ensure the product description and benefits are clearly seen above the fold. Utilize different bathroom environments to demonstrate the flexibility of the cleaning system.
The Process
Laying Out the Content
The main goal of the design was to keep the site simple and straight to the point. Utilizing the water drop motif to add texture and differentiation between the sections of the website and showcase the product and its benefits.
Above The Fold
Designing the Frames
Another aspect of the project was to create storyboards for an animated social post. Hyba had limited content and while more content was being created the animated posts would be a way to show the benefits of the product.

The Learnings
Fortunately, the web and branding received high acclaim from internal stakeholders but Hyba was an early foray into the physical product space from a paper products company. The product itself received marginal success but lost distribution and Amazon which hampered the product’s growth any further. They were two revisions of the product and website before it was ultimately shelved. Overall, it was a good learning experience for me to seeing the intricacies of creating a physical product and trying to find an audience for that product.
